‘The Horizon’ is situated at the heart of the tourist area Poperinge–Ieper–Heuvelland at a 5 km distance from the French-Flemish border, behind which you can roam about in the many idyllic villages. There you should definitely try the local aperitif called ‘Picon’.
“The horizon” can be the starting point to discover Heuvelland with its endless views and marvellous local beers from Poperinge and surroundings. At a small distance, you will find the historic city of Ieper with its medieval remainders and Great War Memorials.
Holiday House in Reningelst at the Western Front
History, gastronomy, nature, peace and quiet, amazing panoramic views and even the kindness of the common people are to be experienced on a signposted walking and cycling scenic route. This combination of flat and hilly paths leads to the lovely village of Reningelst, which is also known as ‘the cycling village’.
‘The Horizon’ is situated in a rural area and lies at only 1 km from the centre.
The formerly small farm has been reconverted into a comfortable house for its current owners with a separate holiday house under the same roof.
The accommodation is well-suited for parties and families up to 9 people, who want to enjoy the unique view on the West-Flemish hills. The children can play within a safely fenced garden or in a covered playing area (we also have bikes for children). Terrace and garden furniture will tempt you to have a barbecue while enjoying the evening sun.
Throughout the whole year ‘The Horizon’ is available for a weekend, midweek or a week. Cars can be safely parked at the entrance.
